Yes No data type

Hello -

Here's my dilemma:

I need to enter vehicle information into a single row on a form. I started using a combo box which denotes different types of technology such as cruise control, backing camera, 4x4, etc.

I realize I got myself in a pickle when I came across the SAME vehicle needing multiple types of choices of technology in the same row.

If I enter the same vehicle into another row just to enter a different type of technology, then it creates a duplicate value in a different combo box I have set up plus, I don't want my users to have to enter the same vehicle info 6 times just because of one choice when they can potentially simply click on a checkbox or a yes/no data field as it were. Make sense?

My vehicle tech choices are set up on their own table with their own unique PK.

I am sorry if I am not explaining myself well. I wish I could show you what I mean. Please, fire back any questions you may have to make this post make more sense.

Thank you so much!

Reply from Alex Hedley:

You will need another Table, a Junction Table, this will have VehicleID and TechnologyID
You can then create a Form with two Combos listing all Vehicles and all Technologies.
Make it continuous, set the Vehicle Combo to default to the chosen Vehicle.
Make this a subform on your VehicleF
1 | 1
1 | 2
2 | 3
etc
