I am using Access 2016 on Windows 10 Build 14393.  With one recent database a particular form crashes whenever I try to use vba.  However if I  first go into design and then open the vba window, do nothing, except close the vba window it no longer crashes.
Any suggestions about how I overcome this annoyance.
Ridiculously it does not do the same in my other databases which also use the same vba.
The crash message I get is "Microsoft Access has stopped working" "A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.  Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available".
It seems to me that unless I go into design and open the vba window the vba is for some reason not recognised.
