Scott, your first question: it sounds like your combo box results just aren't SORTED. Try basing the combo box on a sorted query instead of just a table. See if that helps.

Second question: are you saying that the forms are opening MAXIMIZED and you just want them to open as normal "restored" windows? Or are they just opening too LARGE but are normal windows? How are you opening them (directly, or with a button?)
