I have a table with a field containing a link to S:\Budget\Day Trips Approved\.

In it we enter approved day trips and the document tracker is the autonumber field.  In order to view these docs in the database, I'm manually entering the docID after the \.  So it looks like this S:\Budget\Day Trips Approved\001.pdf etc.  What I'd like to do is automatically add the 001.pdf etc. to the end of the S:\Budget\Day Trips Approved\ in the field every time a new record is entered.  That way I don't have to go back into the form and do those that someone didn't fill in.

So I want the field to recognize the autonumber and add it plus the .pdf.  I tried concatenation, but it didn't work.

Right now the S:\Budget\Day Trips Approved\ is the default value in the table for this field.

You'll need an after update event and this will have to happen once the record is created or the Autonumber doesn't exist yet.
