Normalization and repeating data
Richard W

I have bought into normalization.  I have a database with a "People" table.  Since the People in some cases have multiple addresses, I have an "Address" table with the addresses and, where applicable, the multiple addresses.  Same with "PhoneNos" and "Emails".  Problem, when I try to construct a query  to export to a spreadsheet for use in WordPerfect to print a report (I just like it better and I've used it for over 30 years and it's better) I get repetitive data.  So, if a person in the People table has two addresses, I get the name, the two addresses, and if he/she has two emails, I then get it all duplicated again.  Same with phone nos.  I am trying to get a query that mimics a non-normalized table that contains all the information.  I can construct a report in Access that does what I want, but I cannot get it to print in booklet form (yet) nor do I know how to add other material -- not from the database -- in the beginning and at the end of the report.  So how can I construct the query that I need without duplicative information?

Reply from Alex Hedley:

I'm glad you have, your db's would be very hard to maintain if you didn't.
Sounds like a Join is wrong somewhere. Can you share the SQL you're using?
If it's correct in the Report you can get the SQL from that.
Reports can have Headers/Footers which you can add Images etc too.
