Trying to keep track of IRS mileage
So, Travel$ = [miles]*[IRS_Rate]

This is easy in a query. It gives answer, record by record.  Fine - But query does not write new records back into the data table.

Tried table property default value and put in formula.  That did not work.

Surely this is simple! But how to make this work?

Why do you need to save it in a Table if you can always get it from the Query?

AfterUpdate event on the Form, when a user fills in the Miles and the IRS_Rate then fill in the Travel.
