Hello. Does anyone know how to update the unit price of an item in an inventory database when new stock is purchased from  differing suppliers? In Expert 8.5 Richard said it would be covered in an advanced class.  I'm up to Expert 15.3 and nothing yet. If I just change the unit price currently, it overwrites the value across my database.  Any assistance will be very much appreciated.

You have a Products table that you create a combo from. Then on your Order form you pick a product from the combo and save that data against the order item. It then keeps a copy of the Product cost at that given time. Now when you update the Product new orders will use this new price where old ones don't.
The other option is to create a Product Table and a Price Table and link them. Then when you get a new price add a date against it and use that date when calculating the price of the order.
You can then use these principles for any other concept.
