Q: I just completed your Access Email Seminar and I really enjoyed it. I'm putting it to use. I would like to see a seminar/course doing the same thing but with TEXT MESSAGING. I found texting is a lot more efficient than emails for URGENCY. ie: "John, your account is overdue $45 Please avoid disconnection. If you paid the balance please disregard this message."

A: Glad you enjoyed the seminar. Using text messages is basically the same thing as email. You just have to use an EMAIL TO SMS GATEWAY like I talked about in Lesson 29. The trick is to figure out who the cell provider is. Here are some popular ones:

And yes, there are services, programs, and even APIs you can purchase to handle all of this for you automatically, but if you want a free solution with just you and your Access database, there you have it.
