Access and Sharepoint

Hello Richard
I am working on a project where there will need to be a back end and a front end for users so they can't get to my data, my IT department have asked if I can store my database in SharePoint as it's turning out to be huge and needs to be updated regularly, is there a lesson on this (never used SharePoint) or is there a better way I can suggest to them?

Sharepoint is fine if the data is going to remain inside your organization. I am planning on putting together a video on this, since if you have a Microsoft 365 business subscription, you have Sharepoint available to save your tables (lists) to. For now, ask your IT guys to set up your tables - which you can directly import from Access. I'm also planning on putting together a lesson on using SQL Server as an ODBC connection which is great for using both Access and your web site to provide data for public use. All of this is coming soon. In fact just this morning I ordered a book on Sharepoint to brush up on the changes in 2019.
