I recently had a customer email me asking for help with the IRR function. I cover most of the financial functions in my Microsoft Access Expert Level 30 class however IRR is one that I did not cover because I didn't figure that enough people would want to see it. I cover the basic functions like PMT and such but not that one because it's pretty specific.  

I'm a database expert and I know enough finance to get by, but I'm not a financial expert, so sometimes coming up with good examples of what the stuff is used for is more challenging for me than getting it to actually work. Things like PMT are easy for me to work with because pretty much everyone has had a loan or a mortgage, but stuff like IRR is pretty rare.

So... my question for ya'll is... do enough of you want to see how the IRR function works? Will you use it? Is there enough interest for me to put together a lesson on it because, honestly, I'm going to have to do some research myself and find some good examples of what it's used for. I know the basics, but that's about it.
