Too many fields defined

I had a table with too many fields defined and got the error "Too many fields defined" after deleting the majority of the fields and have only 12 remaining I am still receiving the error. Any hints?

I have NEVER in 15  years of developing and teaching Access had a table come CLOSE to using the max of 255 fields in a table. You definitely need to break that table up. What are all these fields? Do you need them for EVERY record? In Access Expert 4 I show you how to create a Customer Extended Table where you put information that you don't need for EVERY customer in a second table so that your primary CustomerT doesn't get cluttered. This might be information you don't have on EVERY customer, like number of children, favorite color, etc. It's data you want to save, but you don't need it. But I suspect that your data needs to be properly normalized.
