do i still have to split my database

Hi Rick,

Please dont get tired of me.
I intend to have Access as a backend to a Visual Studio project. Since i wont be using the inbuilt Access forms and reports, is it of any additional value to split the database? As in, after splitting it, i then use the backend as the backend of the Visual Studio project?

I could never get sick of you, Micah. You've been with me for a very long time (since 2010 in fact) and I appreciate your support. Ask as many questions as you want here. That's what this Forum is for!

If you are only using Access back-end tables for your VS project, then the only reason I can think of for wanting to split that is if you want to keep individual file sizes small. For example, if you have a LOT of customers and a LOT of orders, you may want a separate ACCDB file for each (I do). Then you can make sure each of them stays small: easier to backup, less chance of corruption, and you don't have to worry about the 2 GB limit as soon.
