Boy, I don't think I still have a copy. I know I had it at the time, but I usually don't keep old versions of software. I haven't purchased "retail" boxed software in a LONG time. It's all downloads now, and I never keep them after I install them. Not sure if you can still get it from Microsoft. I see used copies on Amazon, but those are still like $150. Crazy. LOL

Just curious - what do you need 2007 for? And is this something you need DESIGN capabilities for, or would the Runtime work?

I am trying to prepare for deployment issues (small file size, dodge the 32bit/64bit etc). The front end is designed using vb.net so Access is PURELY used as back end. Access 2007 runtime would surely work but it is 56MB. The Access Database Engine 2007 on the other hand is like 20MB or even much less and it could serve the purpose of connecting to the Access Database, to add or edit data. i hope you understand me.

Do you even need Access at that point? If your front end is built in VB, just use VB. Why do you need to distribute Access with it? I used to deploy a solution back in the old VB6 and Access 2000 days where I just released my EXE file and an Access MDB file. Worked fine.

In order for vb.net to connect and read the data in an Access database, you need to have installed the Access database engine as a minimum (or access runtime as option 2 or full version of access as option 3). At least thats how I understood it.

Gotcha. You could just give them a link to do an Access 365 runtime install.
