Moving the cursor in Access

I have a field that can not be more than so many keystrokes.  After I enter the last keystroke, rather than tab to the next field, the cursor automatically goes to the next field.

Sure. Perhaps in the KeyDown or KeyPress events check the Len of the string. If it's at max, SetFocus the next field.

I would just shorten your character limits, then turn the Auto Tab in the Properties field on. It works for me.

The problem that I'm running onto is that it's an integer.  For example:  Birth Month is 09 (for September) I want it to tab to the day field automatically.  It doesn't have a max field for integers.

Could you add a drop down of 1-12 so you can only choose Jan-Dec?

I might be able to, but this rabbit hole I went down has intrigued me on how to use an [object].setfocus in vba code.  and set a max length to a field with integers not string
