My access 2016 program no longer offers any choice in the text format property list. When I click on the Format down arrow all I get is an empty drop down box. The microsoft help is NO HELP!

Doug, it's context sensitive based on the data type of the field. For text fields, you won't see anything. For date fields, you should see a list of options like General Date, Short, Long, etc. For currency values, you should see General, Currency, Euro, etc.

"ICY "SAID THE BLIND MAN AS HE SLIPPED ON THE ICE AND FELL! I was trying to get to point "TEXT FORMAT" thru the "FORMAT" property - can't get there from there. I should have reviewed Lesson 1 from Beginner 2 first. Sorry to have needlessly bothered you.
