I am new to Access, but I have a grasp of the basics I think.  I am trying to create a form with a subform for updating data.  My problem is in the main form.  I have 3 controls, a combo box ("Bid Item") and two text boxes ("Description" and "Units").  They are all fields from the same table.  I want to select a record from the "Bid Item" field (the primary field on the table) and have it automatically fill in the other 2 boxes with the corresponding info.  I expected this to be a basic function but I am having trouble figuring it out.  Thanks.
