Access to SQL Server
Carlos Cavazos

Hi Richard. My next project is to have Access be able to update a Table in SQL in real time. This is how i'm accomplishing this right now. Everything is done in Access 2016. In my query I have all the fields needed. I do an export text file from that query. I'm using SQL Server Agent to import my last csv file on a schedule and is set to every 30 minutes. Is it possible to accomplish this task directly from Access. If so, can you tell which videos I can purchase?

You should be able to connect Access directly to the SQL Server table as a linked table. Once that's done, you should be able to treat it like any normal Access table. Database Tools > External Data > From Database > SQL Server

I don't currently have SQL Server set up in my office, so that will have to wait. Moving a file is something I will add to the list. A few people have asked me about that. But you've got the Seminar, so just use that. :)
