Once you hand the process off to Word it's not EASY to automate that. Yes, you can automate a mail merge with Word, but it's a lot of programming.

I do not. I could add it to the list for a future class, but I never use it myself. Personally, I use ALL Access for mass mailings. You can create a Report in Access that looks just like a Word document, complete with merge fields. Remember Access Expert 6?

The only time I would ever bother using Word for a mail merge would be if I had to HEAVILY edit the final documents. Like, lots of changes on many documents. But you could STILL use Access for that. Create the merge and store each in a separate record and edit before you print.
