Access 32 bit on 2019

Hi Richard
I build some Databases in Access 2010.
Some of them are giving (compiling) errors since I use Access 2019 in MS Office Professionel Plus.
Probably due to the fact they are build in 32 bit  and Office 2019 only supports 64 bit.
Most forms and Query's are working well.

Can I fix only the problem giving forms and Querys or do I have to rebuild the database all over?
Do you have a seminar on this issue?

Thanks
Eddy

You should work with databases that are of the same "bit-ness" as the version of Access you have installed. You should still be able to OPEN 32 bit databases with Access 2019 however not every feature might work. Here's what you should do: open a BLANK NEW DATABASE with Access 2019. Now IMPORT all of the objects from the 32 bit database. That should work with most basic objects. You may have some VBA code that needs to be adjusted, but it should get you most of the way there.

Thanks Richard,
I'll will do so. And then rebuild the Query's and Forms that don't work anymore due to compiling errors.
Probably need some courses to renew my VBA and Query knowledge.

Happy New Year

Tables, Queries, and Macros should have no problems at all. The only issues you may have are with Forms, Reports, and Modules that have 32-bit specific code in them (like call win32.dll or something like that). In which case there's a way to rewrite most code for 64-bit. I'm going to put together a lessons on it soon. Not a lot of people run into this though.
