Append Query Dont Duplicate

Hi Richard,

Really enjoy all your videos . Thank you for all your help.

Another puzzle, hope you can assist? When do append queries don`t want to duplicate the info in the append table. How can I solve this with vba code and can I also apply the same vba code to an update queries.

For append queries, the easiest thing to do is to index something that can't be duplicated, like a primary key field. That way you can't append it twice. Another way to do it would be to mark the records that have been appended already as "DONE" with a y/n field. Same for update queries.
