Query Stays Open
Shelagh Fagan

I have an annoying "bug". I have a form that uses a query as its data source. One opens the form and executes various procedures from it ( it generates statements based on clicking on names). Then I use a standard 'Close and Return" button to get back to the previous window. But the datasheet view of the query stays on the screen. You just close it but how can I make it close automatically? Without VBA ( I know there is a DoCmd Close). There must be a simple way to do this. Macro would be ok.

A query doesn't just normally open by itself when a form opens. You must have an OpenQuery command somewhere (macro or VBA) that's opening that query in addition to the form.

Yep! The command button that runs a macro to open the form, also opened the query first. No idea why I did this, Duh! Thank you.
