Yeah, there are a bunch of them. It all depends on what kind of data you want to work with. Microsoft summarizes them here. Essentially the ones you'll use most often are:

Boolean: True/False
Currency
Date
Double: for floating point numbers
Long: for counting numbers
String

I almost never use:
Byte: only if you're really stuck for memory
Decimal: just use double
Integer: always use long. Int maxes out at 32,767
LongLong: I still use 32-bit Access
Single: just a smaller double

The others like Object, LongPtr, etc. have specific uses which I cover in class when needed.

This would probably make a nice TechHelp video. I know I talk about these in various classes.
