I don't understand what you mean. Please elaborate.

In my sub form where if a field is null, I have a label covering it that becomes visible stating sorry no data.   Otherwise, its invisible and the field underneath displays data.   It works fine when I open it up and it fires the even.  However, it is a subform and when I open the parent form with this subform in it, it doesnt happen.  What event or code should I use to make it happen when opening the parent form

I would use the OnCurrent event in the subform. When the form is opened (even as a subform) or when the record is first displayed your event will fire.

I tried On Current, Ob Active, On load, After Update, Before Update.... nothing.  It only triggers when i click on a field in the Subform itself

Correction!!!!!  You were right.  I had to make the Field underneath Invisible as well... Thanks
