Hi Richard, It may be that I am getting ahead of myself. In the video Access Expert 1 - No.4 Relational Combo Boxes (19:34), at time stamp 8:01 you show changing records by using the record triangles at the bottom of the box. That changes all the fields as you click through, ContactID, Customer, DateTime, notes. But when I select a new name by using the drop down list from the Combo box, it only changes the name and does not change the other fields. I was expecting that it would change all the fields. Apologies up front if I have missed something obvious.

OK, I understand your question now. That combo box is BOUND to the CustomerID field in the Contact table. You're not searching or changing any other data on the Contact table. You're telling Access which CUSTOMER this Contact belongs to.

Ah ha, I got it now! I also found your lesson on putting a search button on a form so users can find a particular record, which I have now done and works great.
