Lead Source not in Fields

Hi Richard. I am trying to follow your lesson on working with a value list boxm in Access Beginner 8 Lesson 1.

I follow your instructions creating a new field in the "CUSTOMER TABLE". The new field is "LEAD SOURCE".

I then save this table and close it off.

Opening Customer form in design view. Open the property box and change the "Record Source" to "CustomerT"

From the tool box in design i then select the combo box and the wizard starts up. Following the wizard through without problem until i reach the place where i a select that i want to store the value in this field. I then search down the drop down list. For some reason  the new field "LEAD SOURCE" does not appear.

If i close own my combo wizard and try to put "Lead Source" in as a field on my form, i can get that field in the "Add existing field"
Please can you advise on  this

Did you close and reopen the form after adding the field to the table?

Yes i have tried that to no avail. As i say  if i look in the add fields on the design page it shows up there but not in the combibox wizard

That's unusual. Try running down the Troubleshooter. Sometimes something stupid like rebooting your PC will fix it.

All sorted now, Richard, many thanks. Resorted to undoing all my changes and starting again. Now its working as it should be.

I hear that a lot. Don't feel bad. It happens to me too. That's why it's important to have a good backup of your project before making major changes. Restore the backup. Try again.
