I have few duplicate records in my contact database i dont want to delete them since there is a primary key ID to the record.  How can I get rid of the duplicste records with the same first and last name in my database?

If you're sure they're duplicates, then go ahead and delete them. Just move any child records that may depend on them to the new ID.

Yup. Those are the child records. Any record who has your contact's ID as their foreign key.

Just run an update query and change those foreign keys in the child records to the new parent ID
