Hi Richard:

I have question for yhou about something thqat I have in my SCAT Reservations database that i have to keep track of all my trips when nI use the bus.  It is special transportation i se.  On the tab control i have tab called documents and in the documents tab i have attachment field to attach the file document.  When i get a receipt or when i give the driver my ticket for the fair i upload the receipts and tickets in my database for each trip I take.  I want to know if that is okay to do that with documents.  It is not attaching picturesa.  Just PDF Files.  Can you let me know how i can handle that or it is okay the ray i have it.   If you want me to I can send you attachment of what i'm talking about.  Can you please let me know?

Attachments of ANY kind (pictures or otherwise) are frowned upon. Access does not do well with other objects stored inside it. Read this. And this. I cover how to properly deal with storing documents WITH your database (not IN your database) in the Imaging Seminar and in the ABCD Part 5.

Nope. Attachments are bad. Very bad. You can store the location of the file, but not the file itself.

I truly i understand that they are bad to store in the database.  I'm going to watch the ABCD video and do it like what is in the ABCD video.  If i need help will ask someone for help
