I am working on a project that will require that I insert or link a number of graphics files into the OLE formatted forms and tables. I am concerned about the following. After inserting a file the database size grows by significantly more than the size of the origianl file. If you link the file so that small verison is displayed in the control box on the form, then the increase in database size is about the same as just adding the file to the database. Linking and displaying only the icon appears to be the only way to save file size. Am I correct or doing something wrong? What is the best method for having graphics stay with the an Access record that minimizes the increase in database file size.
