Here's a great question that comes to me from Debbie. She asks:

Q: I am importing military times from another database, and the numbers do not have a semicolon between the hours and minutes. What would be the fastest/easiest way to make the conversion so that Access will recognize it as a time?

A: Assuming the data looks like this:

1200
1300
1430

Then all you have to do is just import it into a TEXT field called OldTime. Also create a blank date/time field called NewTime.

Now run an UPDATE query and set the "Update To" for NewTime to this:

CDate(Left(OldTime) & ":" & Right(OldTime))

That ought to do the trick.
