Copy of Access not working
Lwm Harmsma

Hi All,

I've got a, hopefully, little question.

I have a good working Access dBase, thanks to the TechHelp videos's.

But now the "strange" question.

When I make a copy of my dbase is doesn't work. It seems that VBA is not working/running.

I save a copy in the menu with Save As Back-Up or by right clicking and make a copy of the file.

When I open the copy it opens the MainMenuF but when I click a button nothing happens. Very strange.

So tried to make a new button. Cancel the wizzard and on ClickEvent open a form. Nothing. When I make a new button with the wizzard, so it's a macro, it opens the form.

The other form which has also buttons ... don't work.

I've done a Compact and Repair, Compile, restarted my laptop. Nothing.

But when I open the original or any other dbase everything works fine. No problem at all.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

Bert from the Netherlands

Ps. If you want I can sent you a copy of the file in Zip format

Is your backup saved to a Trusted Location?

Just on my desktop

Is your desktop set up as a Trusted Location? If not, VBA won't run. You SHOULD see the yellow warning bar, but not always.

Hi Lwm,
If you want to send me a copy of the database, I will take a look at it.

Thanks everybody for thinking about the problem.

I took a look at Richard's comment and went into options and clicked the option to show warnings within Trusted Settings!

That was indeed the problem!!! Normaly I always see that yellow status bar to enable it. But in one or the other way it was turned off.

Problem solved, YEAHHHHH.

Thank you guys.
