Contact ID number in my contsc

Hi Richard:

I have quedtion about making contact ID number in my contact database. I have a field name contactID In my contact databaseT and contactF. The field name is contactID and have the type set as auto number as you taught me. I want to make a ID field in my contact database for reporring purposes. Don't want to the ContactID on the report. I want seperate ID number for my reports. I see you have a video on sequential numbers in your order tsble and form. How csn I have contact ID Number my database. Already have the Autonumber ID named contactID already. Can you help me. How I can handle this snd also want to set it up so I don't hsve type in the numbers every time I enter new contact.

Hi Richard:

I have awsome news for you. I know I sent you a message that i was wondering how to make a 2nd field for 2nd ID Number and I was having problem when I was adding the field to my contactT and then added the field to my contactF and when I did the code for the field and saved my field and tested it out and wasn't wasn'ty working for some reason. I went back into my contactT and fixed the numbers in my table and now it works. When I go to add new record and it generates new number now. Ao glad I go it to work and learned how to have 2nd ID number in my database for a contact or customer.

HI Adam: I saw that video in the TechHelp videos. I got it work in my contact database. Thank you for sending me the link. I been watching the techhelp videos besides the lessons i get every week.
