I have a form which supplies a query with a value.  If I run the query it ask for the value and runs fine.  When I try it from the form I get a property not found. I can put the name of any other query and the query will run.  I have renamed the query copied and renamed it still the same thing.  HELP

Greg  - Sounds like you are not putting the field information into the query correctly.
Check out this video Richard put out.  I think this is what your after.

Get Value from a Form. Forms!FormName!FieldName

Can you supply more information? Like the query criteria you have or the button code? You can upload images at the top right of your post. When you say it asks for a value i assume its asking for an entered parameter which means it doesnt see the field thats supposed to be giving it a value. Im not sure how to help you without being able to tell you what to fix.

You should try to stop using spaces for fields now if you can, it's going to make you have a lot more work later on.

Is your bound field on the combo box the ID or the String Comapny Name?

Which code is on that button, you shared two pictures with two different codes for Command14?

Don't use parentheses in an OpenQuery command, and like Adam said, avoid spaces in your object names.

Rename the form to get the data from, still will not work correctly. I just figure out that I need to get the ID number and not the name of the company.  Anybody know how to get the autonumber from the combo box and then I believe it will run.

The first column, which is the bound column, contains the value of the combo box. This is usually the ID. If the name of your form is correct above, and "venlist" is the name of the combo box, and the ID is the first column (column 0) then it should work.

Is it possible to give a small example of it.  not sure why my query or code does not work.   I over think things and the simple thinks can drive me insane

Sure: Relational Combo Boxes. I see you've only taken a couple of my Beginner courses. I cover this in detail in my Expert level lessons.
