Display data in one place
Jeffrey Rainey

I would like to build a Stat interface where I can display various data on my main menu for a general overview in a table format.

i.e. how many model x from tbl1, how many model y from tbl1, how many model z from tbl2, how many model a from tbl3 etc.

thanks

What you need is a subform. https://599cd.com/tips/access/form-subform/
You'd make this form and then just throw it on your main menu as a subform.

To get the values of how many model X etc you could use DCOUNT inside of text fields. https://599cd.com/tips/access/dcount/

Or you could just skip the subform and just make the DCOUNT fields directly onto your main menu, but I prefer the subform for groups of information like that

Yeah, like Adam said you're basically talking about creating a Switchboard that has progress and statistical data on it. I'd suggest learning about DLookup, DCount, DSum, and those functions which start in Access Expert 10 (you're almost there, Jeffrey). Then you can just put a REFRESH button on your main menu form to load them whenever you want. Tiny bit of VBA. Someone else asked me how to do this recently. Maybe I'll put together a TechHelp video on it too.
