No picture here to look at but my guess is that it is a "place holder" for a scroll bar.
If you don't need the form to be able to scroll either way just turn it off in the properties for the FORM.

Are the linked fields setup right? Should there be more than one for that id?

Picture is showing up for me now.  I'm almost positive now that the grey bar at the bottom is the scroll bar.

Again if they are not needed you can change to none, vertical, horizontal, or both.

As for the second part of your question I'm not seeing in the picture what you are by your description.  Maybe you can elaborate what this form does. and what is not working as expected.

Yes you were correct about the initial problem I have uploaded another message weather title only the start date showing the problem is when I enter the date range start date end date and push the search button it only shows that 1st entry for the range from start to indict I hope I have made it clear enough and the other message any help you can give me is gratefully appreciated in the other message I have included the VBA coding which is behind the button and other stuff which may be a part of the coding
