Making the right choice

Hello Richard,

I want to build an Access (365/2016-2019) DB which needs several options I cannot find in your classes.

Question A:
The Data in this DB I would like to fill in several languages, but not necessarily at the same time.
Most of the time it might been easier to do this not at the same time.

Is this wise?, or should I build as much DBs as languages?
(Or one DB with a Main menu in which to switch from language to language?)

Thereafter:
Anyway, there will be one memo field that is only required if the leading subject has a certain value/option.
This could be a separate table which could be bound based on the ID field.

Question B:
Separate table for this one memo field or put this field in the optiontable?
(Having about 80% of the table an empty memo field).

Thanks for your help

With kind regards
Eddy

A: Back in Access Developer 12, I created something called an External String Manager. That's where you can use a table to store different strings for your database, and you can use it to swap out languages.

B: Memo (long text) fields don't take up any space if you don't use them. Don't be afraid to include them in every table for notes.
