Extra Space Around Form

Thanks for these classes!

I can't get rid of extra space around my first form. Using MS365 on desktop. I drag in the borders in Design View, but it will not stick. I have a small form on a lot of screen real estate!

Saw some MS posts about coding this property, but hope there's a better way. Thanks!

Hi Nancy. What exactly do you mean by extra space? Can you post a screen shot so I can see (use the Upload Images link up top).

I'm assuming you mean you can set the space in design view, but then after you open the form you have a lot of extra space?

If you're using overlapping windows not-maximized, shrink the window to the size you want it to be in form view and CTRL+S, then close and open it, it should save the size you had it at. If you're using the form in maximized/full screen then yea, access adds in all that "extra space" to fill the entire screen.

If this isn't the case, then yea upload an image, that's strange :).

Thank you both! I just fixed it. I was working with a second instance of Access and I had forgotten to go into File > Options > Overlapping Windows like we had done in the lesson videos!
