Access Apps

I cannot follow Map your data with Access apps to have ability to add a map to my Microsoft 365 version of Access. Is that not available to me for some reason, or am I not setting things  up properly. Thanks.

I don't know why the video says that Access Apps are available for Microsoft 365 and 2019. To the best of my knowledge Access Apps were discontinued back in Access 2013. In fact, that page even has a warning right on it:

Access Services 2010 and Access Services 2013 are being removed from the next release of SharePoint. We recommend you do not create new web apps, and migrate your existing apps to an alternative platform, such as Microsoft Power Apps.

Does anyone else have any experience with this? It's new to me.

In fact, on the bottom of that page there's a link to Create an Access App. It takes you to a video that's CLEARLY using Access 2013.

I think Microsoft just has a standard generic header that says "Access for Microsoft 365, Access 2019..." because I know for sure that Access Apps are NOT available in Access 2019 and 365.

Microsoft makes GREAT products, but their marketing is often VERY confusing.

Thanks Richard... that's disappointing, but at least I won't waste anymore time on it.

I agree. I was actually looking forward to Access Web Apps. That would be a KILLER application if it was done right. The problem... it wasn't done right. They were buggy and klunky from day one. I never liked em. If Microsoft could put a good web-based version of Access out, it would be so nice.

Hi Richard and Robert.

Maybe the recently built connector between Power Apps and Access can solve part of this problem. Nonetheless,  Is there any solution to have MS Access work as a mobile app?

I just recommend this: Access on a Phone
