Time Function

HI Richard, I am stuck on the time for my access form. I have seen several videos on time function and you mostly use the query to do the calculations but as you do you put it in the the field properties in the query. When you do it doesn't go into the table where I need it to go. In the form I do use the Now() function in both the start and end time. Now for several weeks I have tried to use the calculations that you showed in the query but the total time doesn't go into the actual table it goes in it's own query. How does the calculation go into the query or form and ends up in the actual table that the Director and admninistrator can see it.

Mark -
In general you shouldn't store the calculation between to date / time fields in a table.
If you have that query built that does the time function you can base the form on the query instead of the table.
Then the calculation shows up when viewing the form.

Hey Scott, thanks for getting back. I do understand about not to storing the calculations in the table. As I watched Richard do the  calculations video's I saw him put them in the query. So now I am doing that and it is working good now.
