I have to update a db that I did not create.  Basically there are records for companies I have to process, then in the access db I have to update the date I processed the records.
I can filter on just the records I need, but currently to update the "transmitted date" field (currently blank) I have to manually enter the date over and over again (or copy and paste). Sometimes there are a couple hundred records to update with the same info.
Is there a way to fill the field for these records with the same date in one action?  I access the db in table form.

Yes. You want to use an UPDATE QUERY.

You can use an Update Query to change records in a table.
