I need to develope a website with integrated database. I am planning to use Asp.Net for webdevelopment and access for database. however i have 70 users and i need to know if access could cope with 70 users updating the data at a same time.
if access is not compatible, than what software would you recommend to use. considering it needs to be intergrated with asp.net. i have been recommended oracle and Mysql. but i am not to sure.

You have to look at not only how many users you're going to have, but how MUCH data they're going to be working with. If your 70 users are just looking up info and posting simple text-based data forms, then you should be OK. I've designed web-based databases that handle hundreds (even thousands) of concurrent users using a simple Access database backend.

Personally, I wouldn't bother moving up to a database server until I was dealing with 1000 or more concurrent users… or just start it with Access and if the site starts to run slow, upscale it to MySQL or SQL Server. It's easy and fast to do.
