Sending an email code error
Valentina Martinez

Hello!

I have two questions:
1) I followed the YouTube video on "how to send email from Microsoft access" and using the example provided everything worked, however when I tried it on my form it keeps giving me this error (see attached picture).

2) I am following the video and doing the email option, but eventually I would want to be able to send a link to the "incomplete" form so people can complete it. In other words, I want to start the form, enter the name and "owner's" email, and be able to hit "send email" command so it sends an email to the owner telling them that the form has been started and that they must complete it. Is this possible?

Update: I figured out my error, I had a "privatesub" without an "end". But if someone could answer my second question, I would be very grateful.

Thank you in advance!

You can't send an Access form by email like that. The form is local to your database only. You could send them a formatted report as a PDF. You could send them an email by text and have them type in the answers, but you'd still have to update your database yourself. Another alternative would be to use something like Google Forms. That information is saved to a Google Sheet online (which is like Excel) and then you could import that into Access. There are several different options, but I'm afraid none of them are as simple as you'd want them to be, unfortunately. I've got a video coming out on this topic in the future.
