show smallest value

I have a form with 10 different fields with number values. I want to add a calculated field to show the smallest number from those 10 fields for that record.

I tried the Min function like excel but that requires a range to make it work.

Suggestions?

You could just do the old fashioned If/Then, or make a really long/nasty IIF statement. You could also make a union query and then use Min on that field.

Here's a video on Union Queries. Union Query Basically should be able to Union the 10 fields into one field, and then get the min from that.

Can you show us a screenshot of the type of record you are talking about? It might be that the design of your tables maybe need to be reconsidered.

If you're talking about 10 different fields in the same record, then yeah, that's going to be a pain. A loop is probably the easiest way. What are your field names?
