(for access 2007)

Thanks a lot in advance for any help you can offer

I've just grasped how to use Dlookup to fill in a form but now i need to know how to take that info and stick it in another table, so say i have a table called table 1 with three fields: ID First Name and Second Name; I have a second table (table 2) which has the same fields and a form that fills in the details for table 2, What I want to be able to do is display data the first and second name of someone from table one by selecting an id, I know how to actually show this using a d lookup like the one below

=DLookUp("[First Name]","Table1","[ID] =" & [Forms]![Table2]![Combo8])


My problem is in finding a way of taking this and then placing the values into table 2


is there an easy way to achieve this for someone with little knowledge of VBA (if VBA required it would be much appreciated for an explanation as to how)

This just requires a little AfterUpdate event. Make a form that is bound to table 2, with your combo box that is fed by Table1. When you pick a value, have an AfterUpdate event that looks up the rest of the data and stores them in fields in the form.
