I'm using Access 2007 and am at Developer Level.
I have built an Access DB for my business. My associate and I office in different locations.   Is there a way I can store the DB online so we can both make updates to and retieve data from a current DB?  I have been reading about sharepoint, but don't fully understand what or how that works.

You're going to want to wait for Access 2010 which is coming out this summer.

Access 2010 will integrate very nicely with Sharepoint Server. This means you'll be able to put your Access database on the Sharepoint Server and use your database just like it was a Web application.

Sharepoint is essentially a document collaboration server. It works great for sharing Word and Excel files… and they're really doing a lot with Access in the next version (2010).

Right now, you can build a web-based data solution using Access and a web scripting language like ASP, but if it's just you and one colleague, you might want to wait for 2010 and use Sharepoint.

You can either set up your own Sharepoint server, or rent space from a hosting company.
