Open Specific Record
Joe Hood

Hello Everyone,
I currently use a dbl click event to open a specific customer Record. Once opened it is filtered Record 1 of 1, which will not allow me to navigate forward and backward through the list of customers. If you turn off filtering in the navigation pane it returns you to the first customer in the list. Does anyone know how can I open the record that I want and still have the ability to scroll backward and forward through the entire list.
Thanks,
Joe

Basically you just need to open the form and then move after.

You might need to adjust this slightly as this is with a subform, but just posting it because I had already made the code for this previously

Using the setup in Open Form as the example

    DoCmd.OpenForm "CustomerContactF", , , "CustomerID=" & CustomerID
    Forms!CustomerContactF!ContactF.Form.Recordset.FindFirst "ContactID=" & ContactID

For a normal form, you should just need to do something like
DoCmd.OpenForm "CustomerContactF"
Forms!CustomerContactF.Recordset.FindFirst "ContactID=" & ContactID
