Split Form and Set Focus
Gregg Moore

Is there a way to set focus on a split form? I have created a split form for a user. I have used some of your great examples from your search seminar and have the search combo boxes on the form part and it works great however I notice that when I update the form that I can't use the combo boxes until I first click in the datasheet part manually first then they work fine. is there a way to, using vba, to set focus to the datasheet part first after a refresh so that the combo box search fields are useable right after a refresh without having to click in the datasheet part manually?

If you are truly using a split form that is considered one of those Evil Access Stuff no no's.
If you are using a SUBFORM different story.

Either way you will need to use the .SetFocus Method using the
Fields on a subform: Forms!ParentFormName!SubFormName.Form!FieldName

See the Value From a Form video for more information.

Hi Gregg. This is one of the reasons I never use split forms.
