Forms and Subforms

First, I must say thanks to everyone contributing to this site. I have a parent form containing some financial information with dates and name fields. I also have a child subform with more detailed financial records including a dollar amount in the records. I have a total field in the subform footer and the totals appear except when the above records in the subform are Zero then there is nothing in the calculated total. I am trying to use this information in reports and in the report I also see nothing from the subform if the value is zero. I will attach a clip of the form. Thanks

What's the control source formula in your total textbox?

If it's something like

=Sum(MyField)

Then you just need an Nz function:

=Nz(Sum(MyField),0)

Thanks Richard. Sorry for taking so long on the reply. Yes, the solution seemed to work great on the form. I know I had seen this on one of your lessons; however, I could not locate it quickly. I do have one more question about sub-reports and null values. I will be attaching 2 captures of the other issue I have with this, and it is the lack of any info on the report even with zero entries. I had thought that it would at least capture the headings and maybe a zero value or empty row. If you can steer me in the right direction, I would appreciate it greatly.

So you're saying if there are no records in the subform you want the subreport to at least show something like "no records?"
