Preventing Duplicates

How can I prevent duplicates in combo box
example
I have
Tables
IncomeT , DistributionT and ExpenditureTypeT tables.
Relationships
IncomeT related to DistributionT (IncomeT a parent - one to many)
DistributionT related to ExpenditureTypeT (DistributionT a parent - one to many)
Forms
IncomeF and DistributionSubF.
DistributionSubF is a sub form of IncomeF where one income can be distributed into multiple expenditure types.
DistributionSubF contain ExpenditureType combo box to select the type of expenditures for the earned income.
What I want?
When I select one expenditure one time, if a I accidentally select the same expenditure next time, i want to get an alert that this expenditure already chosen.
Help please.

You could use DLookup in a BeforeUpdate Event.

Due to the holidays, I may not get to this until after the 1st, but it's on the list. If you're in a hurry, I do cover this in Access Developer 27.

The Extended Cut for this video deals with a very similar issue: Subforms

Indeed. While I never promise a time frame (I learned that lesson years ago) the video is overdue. I'll put something together soon.
