say i want to do a print button on a form.

press print button, i want a pop up box to say did report print ok etc, yes or no,  no reprints, yes carries on with the next function.

how do i do that in access.  i read in a vba booklet, like hello world, but is it covered within the access learning.

if so what access programme and session number do i need.

Thanks

Unfortunately there isn't a "one size fits all" solution for you.

Richard often says, "He provides the Lego pieces - It's up to us to assemble them together for what we need."
There are bits and pieces scattered through out the courses.

I would have you start out watching the MsgBox video.  Then, your best bet is to head to the Access Index and perform a search (Ctrl - F )

BTW - I hardly ever print directly to the printer.  I would say that my "print" buttons bring up the document, labels, what ever in preview mode 99.999% of the time.  It's very easy to reprint from there if you need to.  Then if it's what you need close down the print preview.  I don't think you need to make things more difficult for yourself trying to program in a "did it print correctly?" - Just my opinion.

Hi,  the Msgbox is what I was looking for and wanted.  My interpretation of it was wrong  Thanks

The reason why I need was it printed correctly or not was that I can afford to have duplicate paper printouts floating around the office.  Those pages are used to manufacture goods once only,  a duplicate product could prove costly to me and be not good to the end user.

Unless you can let me know a easier way of realising how Ive ended up with a copy document which should alert production of a potential duplicate.

Thanks

Add a field called Printed and have it update once you print.
This could be automatic or just manual.
Then if this is true disable or hide the Print button.
