Access 2007 - how to create new record in a form
Dan

Hi, I am working on an exisitng DB in Access 2007.  I have a main section with user information and then a tabbed section of subforms of details related to the main info above it.  When you change the main record, the relevant subform infor changes as well.  One form has bound fields that enter data into an hours table.  Three fields in the record, No biggie there.

What I would like to have, and I have seen it work before but cant remember how it did, is have the form create a new line of bound boxes (a blank copy of the ones above it) so that I can enter reocurring data but have them all visible on the one subform.

example: line 1 says yesterdays date, a name, and number of hours worked.  As soon as I click in the first bound box in those fields, a new line of fields (a new record) in the form appears below the ones I am typing in so I can add the next days data.

Let me know if this is clear.  Thanks so much in advance!!

Answer from Richard Rost:

I believe what you're trying to do is to create a subform that shows multiple records. Am I correct? In this case, just set your subform view to CONTINUOUS FORMS (it's a propery of the form itself). Then you'll see any and all related records, including multiple records and a blank record at the end.
